FOR CAREGIVERS

For the adult child, the spouse, or the professional caregiver.

Same kit. Same hotline. A few notes for the person doing the setup on someone else's behalf.

Who this page is for

  • Adult children setting up the kit for an aging parent.
  • Spouses configuring on behalf of a partner.
  • In-home care professionals and care coordinators.
  • Senior-living staff configuring on behalf of residents with the resident's authorization.

What is the same

The product is identical. $59 kit. Hotline live the day it arrives. 60-day return.

What is different about setting it up for someone else

The family-side routine still has to live with the household. The kit's card belongs near the parent's phone, not in your bag. The chosen cue must come from the family itself, not from the caregiver alone. We recommend doing setup at the parent's home, not remotely.

Privacy and authorization

Set the kit up on behalf of an adult only with their authorization. For an adult who cannot authorize, follow the guardian or power-of-attorney process applicable in your state. We are not the right tool if there is a dispute over guardianship.

Buying multiple kits

A wholesale tier is not published yet. Email hello@thefamilyword.com if you are a care organization or senior community thinking about kits at scale.

HIPAA

We are not a HIPAA-covered entity. We do not request or store health information. The routing service does not share any medical data because it does not have any.
